Never Stop Learning

These are some of the professionals I've learned from over the years. I've either studied with them or I've found them through researching different health questions. Each has helped make me the therapist I am today.

*My teachers for Reiki and Manual Lymphatic Drainage are no longer practicing or teaching.

A couple jobs ago a coworker spent at least two years telling me she'd heard about the bars and thought I should learn. She said it would be great with my prenatal clients. I finally took her suggestion and blindly took the class. It was such a shift in perspective. Thanks Chris for your persistence!

This is where I studied Massage Therapy. AIAM at the time only had two programs, but each one had a medical board passing rate of over 90%. The small size allowed everyone's focus to be on the students. I remember the guy in student aid once passed me in the halls and asked how I liked having anatomy and physiology at 8am. Their attention to their students' education and success is really something.

I decided to study Visceral Manipulation through the Barral Institute after completing my CranioSacral courses with the Upledger Institute. They're both a part of International Alliance of Healthcare Practitioners, and provide stellar continuing education courses in their respective fields.

I have followed her for decades. I've read several of her books and taken several of her trainings. I highly recommend her daily energy routine. Donna is a wealth of knowledge and a ray of sunshine. She can also be found at Eden Method, and on YouTube.

The Functional Medicine Health Coach I was working with suggested I look into Jessie's work, and it's amazing. Not only are the tips and tricks she has to balance your blood sugar super easy, she's full of interesting health facts. I follow her easy-to-use tips whenever possible.

I completed her Subtle Hands, and Prenatal and Pregnancy CranioSacral Therapy courses. Carol is amazingly educated and such a pleasure to learn from.

Dr. Jones is an expert in all things hormone related. I like to listen to her podcasts and YouTube talks. She's able to present information in a funny and relatable way. She's a big fan of practical and tactical health tips.

I've followed Caroline for decades. I've read several of her books, listened to every audiobook the library has, and have taken several of her webinars. She completely changed the way I look at the chakra system. I hope to one day attend a seminar of hers in person.

I found Dr. Perry researching lymphatic self-care options for clients. I really like his approach, and I do his Big 6 Lymph Reset at least once a day myself. I highly recommend looking into his work. Everyone can benefit from taking care of your body's filtration, and immune system.

I first heard Dr. Mindy on a podcast hosted by Dr. Carrie Jones. The two of them together is magic. I've read and practice her information from her books Fast Like a Girl and the follow up book Eat Like a Girl. As with most of this list she is very knowledgeable, passionate about her work, and easy to listen to.

This is where I started my CranioSacral Therapy training. I've also taken their first course on how the tissues of the body hold on to emotional injuries. I was so impressed with the quality of their courses that when I decided to learn Visceral Manipulation I chose the Barral Institute, a partner of theirs in the International Alliance of Healthcare Practitioners.
